Milan Nič is managing director at the Central European Policy Institute (CEPI). His expertise includes political and security affairs in Central & Eastern Europe, EU integration, Transatlantic relations, the Western Balkans, Governance and Civil Society. Previously he worked as senior adviser to the deputy foreign minister of Slovakia (2010–2012), adviser for the High Representative/EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and program director at the Pontis Foundation. He started his professional carrier as journalist at the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Nič studied International Relations and European studies at the Charles University in Prague, and SAIS Johns Hopkins University (Bologna Center). He is also a graduate of the Central European University in Budapest. In 2010, he coauthored a book of essays on the EU and Slovak foreign policy with Tomas Valasek, Balazs Jarabik, and others.
