Stefánia Kapronczay is the executive director of the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union. She has a cum laude degree from the Faculty of Law at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, as well as a degree in sociology. Kapronczay, who joined the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union in 2005, previously led their Patients’ Rights Program. Kapronczay, who was a scholar at Stanford University, wrote her dissertation on the sexual and reproductive rights of people with disabilities. She was elected as the cochair of the International Network of Civil Liberties Organizations in 2014. Kapronczay is an honorary member to the City For All, a grassroots organization of homeless people, and a member of the advisory board of the Rajk László College for Advanced Studies.
